Delray Beach has yet once again received accolades! This time for being named one of the ‘Best Small Towns to Visit in America’. The Palm Beach Post featured Delray Beach’s big news declaring that ‘our county is among some very cool places in the country’. Thrillist, who created the list, describes Delray Beach as, ‘Not just for grandparents anymore. In the past decade, Delray has begun to use the word ‘˜hip’ to precede something other than ‘˜replacement’. Thrillist created the list of cities that are ‘underappreciated gems’ with a maximum population of 70,000. They asked dozens of writers across the United States to find small cities where they could see themselves living. Cities with lots to do when you want and nothing to do when you unplug ‘“ a place to ‘scratch out a cool life’. Thrillist published the list in August and provided a brief description of why each location made the cut. In addition to Delray Beach, Florida other featured cities include:
