Publix Coming to Manalapan’s Del Mar Plaza and Whole Foods 365 Planned for Delray Beach

Big news for Manalapan and Delray Beach with the soon-to-be arrival of a Publix market and Whole Foods 365 market. According to the Real Deal, construction has begun on a Publix supermarket in Manalapan and a Whole Foods 365 grocery store is in the works for Delray Beach. Both markets will offer beach area residents a convenient option for grocery shopping.

The Real Deal online article from June 24, 2017 reports that the 28,000 square foot Publix is expected to open in approximately a year. The market’s arrival is part of the redevelopment of the Plaza del Mar shopping center in Manalapan. Other tenants include Chico’s, Evelyn & Arthur, John G’s and The Ice Cream Club. See Full Article

The Real Deal also announced in its July 9, 2017 post that Whole Foods is planning to open a Whole Foods Market 365 in Delray Beach at the Delray Plaza shopping center at 660 West Linton Boulevard. This convenient location is between South Federal Highway and Interstate 95. If all goes according to plan, the 30,000 square feet grocery store could open in early 2019. See Full Article

Fort Lauderdale Luxury Beach Penthouse Sells for Record $9.5M

A Fort Lauderdale penthouse unit at Auberge Beach Residence and Spa sold for a record $9.5M. According to The Real Deal post on July 8, the five bedroom penthouse is the first Broward County condo to sell for more than $9M. The previous record was $8.9 million when a four bedroom penthouse at Auberge sold in 2016. See Full Article

The two story penthouse has ocean views, five en suite bedrooms, private balcony that wraps around three sides of the unit and private roof deck with plunge pool. With 5,686 square feet, the sales price equates to $1,670 per square foot.

Delray Beach Wins Third All-American City Award

Delray Beach has been once again been awarded the title of All-American City. On June 16, 2017, the All-American City (AAC) Conference in Denver, Colorado announced Delray Beach as one of 15 communities to win the 2017 honor. See Announcement

Delray Beach is the only Florida city to win this title three times receiving the award in 1991, 2003 and 2017. The National Civic League has sponsored the All-American City Award for nearly seven decades.

According to a Sun Sentinel post on June 20, ‘œthis year’s award recognized communities for helping low-income children achieve early reading success. For the past five years, Delray Beach has coordinated with schools, students and parents to improve youth literacy, attendance rates and school preparedness’. Delray Beach’s Mayor, Cary Glickstein said, ‘œThe community’s work has contributed to a 25 percent improvement in grade level reading for kindergarten through third grade across Delray public schools.’ See Full Article

Douglas Elliman Launches Multi-Million Dollar Rebranding Campaign

Douglas Elliman Real Estate is launching a multi-million dollar rebranding campaign. According to Real Estate Weekly, the new slogan, ‘œIt’s Time for Elliman’ will feature themes representing the human experiences and emotions involved when buying and selling a home.

The new campaign was produced in partnership with Agency Sacks and will include billboards on the Long Island Expressway and Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The redesigned Douglas Elliman logo will be featured on buses thanks to a partnership with Hampton Jitney.

The luxury real estate company is hoping to reach close to three quarter of a billion potential customers nationwide with the new campaign. New Spec Home in Ocean Ridge Hits the Market for $24.9M

A new oceanfront spec home under construction in Ocean Ridge just hit the market for $24.9 million.

The 13,542-square-foot mansion at 6161 North Ocean Boulevard was designed by Affinity Architecture and developed by Mark Pulte’s Mark Timothy Homes. The price equates to $1,839 per square foot.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom and three half-bath estate is set for completion in September, according to a press release.
